Maria Alicia Bustos-Orosa

Maria Alicia Bustos-Orosa has just wrapped up a new textbook series for junior high school English titled English in Perspective, Grades 7 to 10. Packed with learner- and teacher-friendly features, the series integrates language and literature in compliance with the mandates of the K-12 curriculum.

Dr. Orosa is currently an Associate Professorial Lecturer in the Counseling and Educational Psychology Department of De La Salle University Manila and the School President of TLC North Bend School in Baliuag, Bulacan. Bustos-Orosa completed her Bachelor in Secondary Education major in English (cum laude), her Masters and Phd in Educational Psychology from the University of the Philippines Diliman. Furthermore, she obtained Post-doctoral Studies in Adaptive Instruction at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto. Her extensive work in the academe involves research and teaching in the areas of Educational Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Literacy, Developmental Psychology, and Language teaching. Bustos-Orosa previously authored a number of textbooks in Reading, Language and in Preschool education and contributed as a columnist to the Manila Times and various magazines.
